SAND AND SEA COLLECTION

THIS SERIES OF WORKS WAS CREATED DURING A TIME OF PROCESSING GRIEF, AND UNDERSTANDING THE DECAY + SHADOWS THAT CAN COME WHILE WE HEAL.

STONES OF REMEMBRANCE

Stones and rocks are used for many purposes. One purpose found throughout history is using stones to mark important people or events. The slow process of hand building larger sculptural forms, and the firing process the clay requires parallels the human experience. My most recent works, Stones of Remembrance, pay tribute to these experiences.

THIS SERIES EXPLORES USES GLAZE, TEXTURE, AND DEPTH TO EXPLORE THE IMPORTANCE OF UNDERSTANDING WHAT IS BENEATH THE SURFACE, AND ITS EFFECTS ON THE OUTTER LAYER.
